Dean Storelli

In December, MIDP Director of Writing and Communication Services, Dean Storelli, a specialist in writing, curriculum development and policy communication and a Duke Trinity alum, gave a workshop to the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) on writing and presentation strategies for international policy communication. Storelli was invited by Roberto Obando, 2002 Master of Public Policy International Development Policy Certificate alum, who serves as Caribbean regional director and chief of party for Citizen Security & Justice at the PADF. Over two days, Storelli worked with regional staff, researchers, and project managers on best practices for impactful policy communication.

Much of Storelli’s work over the past 12 years with the Duke Center for International Development (DCID) has centered on professional policy writing and presenting for a global audience. He provides writing reviews and editing, classes, guest lectures, coaching and workshops to MIDP faculty and students, MPP students, DCID executive education participants and Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Fellows, as well as Sanford alumni. His teaching and coaching have focused on impactful and concise policy communication. He has also led workshops for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Haiti’s Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training.
