The Sanford School of Public Policy has renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Institute of Policy Studies at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), a graduate research institute that offers degrees and training in public policy. The agreement includes exchange of students for non-degree seeking semesters; exchange of faculty members for study visits, research, and training; exchange of publications; and the possibility of joint research in fields of mutual interest. First signed in 2014, the agreement allows students from UBD’s Master’s Program in Public Policy and Management (MPPM) spend their third semester of the two-year program at Sanford as visiting students. While the agreement is with Sanford, DCID manages the program because the MIDP curriculum and mid-career orientation fits well with the goals of the UBD students. The four students who have come through the program thus far have been advised by MIDP staff and faculty and have taken the majority of their courses within the MIDP curriculum.
