MIDP fellows in the Rotary Peace Fellowship program are required to complete a 3-month applied field experience (AFE), a unique part of the fellowship that allows them to put theory learned in the classroom into practice. Although COVID-19 severely disrupted plans for travel and on-the-ground experience for most of them, the snapshots below (written for the Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center blog), showcase the resilience and creativity of the fellows.
