Academic Services Coordinator
Master of International Development Policy
Before joining Duke, Akmarzhan worked at Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan, where she was responsible for coordinating student and academic services for the newly founded MPP program. She also worked for the Kazakh Government and the Norwegian Embassy. She pursued a MPP degree from the University of Sydney as a Bolashak Scholar and holds a BA in Area Studies from Eurasian National University. She has studied abroad in Japan, Australia, and Norway, and enjoys meeting people from different countries and cultures. She lives in Chapel Hill with her family.
