Kerilyn Schewel discusses defining climate migration on Migration Policy Institute podcast

The lecturing fellow was a featured guest on Changing Climate, Changing Migration.

Kerilyn Schewel, a lecturing fellow at the Duke Center for International Development, recently spoke about the challenges of defining climate migration and the implications for policy on an episode of the Changing Climate, Changing Migration podcast.

Hosted by the Migration Policy Institute, the podcast episode explored the meaning of climate migration and why terminology matters.

Schewel is also the co-director of the Duke Program on Climate-Related Migration. Her research examines the root causes of human migration and immobility, with an emphasis on the themes of gender, youth, rural development and climate change.
