At the annual meeting of the Academy of Management this month, DCID director Eddy Malesky and his coauthor Markus Taussig (Rutgers) were named the inaugural winners of the ONE-SIM Outreach Award.
The recognition is a joint effort between the Academy’s “Organizations and the Natural Environment” (ONE) division and its Social Issues in Management (SIM) division. The ONE-SIM Outreach Award goes to researchers who excel in reaching out to non-academic audiences and promoting best practices.
The winning outreach work was focused on Malesky and Taussig’s paper, “Participation, Government Legitimacy, and Regulatory Compliance in Emerging Economies: A Firm-Level Field Experiment in Vietnam,” published in the American Political Science Review in May 2019.
