Fernando Cossío-Muñoz, originally from La Paz, Bolivia, is Senior Fellow at DCID and a public finance economist with 19 years of advisory experience in development policy, tax policy, revenue generation and forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and fiscal management, with more than 50 consulting and training assignments completed.
He served as Deputy Minister of Finance, exercising as the Fiscal Authority for the Republic of Bolivia. He has worked as a consultant and lecturer for the Harvard Institute for International Development and for DCID in more than 20 countries in the Americas, Africa and Asia. He received the Civilian Service Medal (HMG) to recognize his support as Tax Policy Advisor in Afghanistan and has a proven track record of working on a wide variety of public finance reform areas, including the development of tax policy options and training government officials in tax analysis and public investment management.
