Eunyoung Lee has been a Korean government official since 1999, and she is the director-general of the Ministry of Personnel Management. She has various government experiences, including working for the central and local governments. Policies are being implemented to secure diversity and inclusion in the public sector in Korea. In this regard, she played many roles in developing balanced personnel policies, including establishing the first master plan and an annual report on the public sector’s diversity. She plans to research the theme of promoting diversity and inclusion in Korea based on a comparative analysis of the US and other countries’ policies.

She received her master’s degree in public policy from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University in 2003, and she visited George Mason University as a visiting scholar in 2016 to research public ethics.
