DCID and the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala (MINECO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on August 26, to collaborate on joint areas of mutual interest that will allow the implementation of a training program for MINECO officials and support the modernization efforts of the Ministry.
Both organizations agreed to explore opportunities to cooperate on diverse issues toward the achievement of the strategic goals of the institutions. According to the letter of understanding, specific activities may include training, advising, and institutional capacity building on strategic issues that will be jointly determined according to the specific needs of MINECO.
DCID will play a key role in training and knowledge transfer to government officials, in order to achieve the goals of transparency and modernization required by the Guatemalan Ministry.
