Under a two-year contract with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), faculty provided a resident fiscal decentralization advisor in 2007 to give policy support to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Royal Government of Cambodia.

With USAID funding, faculty provided technical assistance on investment expenditure analysis and program evaluation to Ministries of Finance in the states of Karnataka, Jharkhand and Uttaranchal in India. Technical advice was also provided on aspects of tax policy and electricity regulation in Karnataka. The project was conducted from 2006 to 2007.
Fiscal Decentralization Policy and Local Government Financial Reform

Faculty provided resident advisors and short term support to the Kenya Local Government Reform Program (KLGRP) from 2001 to 2006. The work, funded through a multi-year contract with the UK Department of International Development (DFID), focused on central-local fiscal transfers, performance based grants, property taxes and business licenses, revenue mobilization, local government financial management and participatory planning.
International Airport Concession Contracts Study

Faculty analyzed the financial, economic and administrative aspects of the International Airport Concession Contracts for the Bolivian Government Regulatory Authority for Transport from 2003 to 2006. They also provided advisory services in financial and administrative analysis of school nutrition sponsored by the UN World Food Program.
